A family business with history

For over 100 years, the name Tribbensee has been synonymous with the fascinating world of large mechanical clocks. Founded in 1916 by the Wilhelm Tribbensee family in the heart of the Black Forest, the company continues to combine traditional craftsmanship, innovative ideas and a deep passion for exclusive clocks. Initially specialising in classic grandfather clocks, Tribbensee has continued to evolve over the decades. After Wilhelm Tribbensee died prematurely, Hans-Joachim Krohmer, then only 20 years old, took over the management of the company in 1979. With vision, commitment and entrepreneurial courage, he transformed the regional manufacturer into one of the leading dealers of mechanical clocks in Germany. The history of Tribbensee is characterised by dedication, change and the constant pursuit of perfection.

Our passion for exclusive large clocks

We have always been passionate about exclusive mechanical clocks. Our high-quality wall clocks, table clocks and grandfather clocks combine classic design with technical sophistication. Curved cases, glass display cases, reflective back panels and subtle moonlighting make each clock an expression of master craftsmanship.

Since the 2000s, we have been expanding our range to include fine clocks from Erwin Sattler – a brand for which we are now one of the leading specialist retailers. We also trust in the quality of Sinclair Harding, Matthias Naeschke, Comitti of London, Kieninger, Hermle and Helmut Mayr.
