About us
Tribbensee is a clockmaking company with tradition since 1916. Since 1966 we have specialized in the production of large clocks. We have stood for quality and experience for over a century.
Tribbensee is a family business with decades of experience in the assembly and sale of original Black Forest grandfather clocks. Production takes place both in the Black Forest, the classic area of clock manufacture, and in Munich. Thanks to craftsmanship and technical perfection in the home of clocks, high-quality and stylistically mature masterpieces are created. All of our clocks are 100% “Made in Germany” and in some cases also from high-quality international manufacturers. Our clocks are true heirlooms and valuable antiques that will continue to be appreciated as such in the future. True to our motto “Wilhelm Tribbensee – the time of your life”, we would like to offer you a piece of quality and durability.
We have the longest experience in the German large clock retail trade. We respond to the wishes and concerns of our large clock customers more clearly, more precisely and without ifs and buts.
Over many decades of uninterrupted appreciation and uninterrupted precision work on large clocks, we have worked out and refined our very special strengths, which we naturally make available to every customer.
Wilhelm Tribbensee was the pioneer who converted the production of large clock cases to the tried and tested method that is still used today. Tribbensee – since 1916.
Hans-Joachim Krohmer (owner since 1979)
Grandfather clocks Illumina Secunda (black/carbon) from Erwin Sattler.
Table clock NT G8 from Matthias Naeschke.
Based on this tradition, Tribbensee designs the shape of all its clocks itself. The material and dimensions of the individual parts guarantee the longevity of each model. Our customers have the opportunity to play a major role in shaping the appearance of their clocks by choosing the type of movement, dial, glazing, weights, pendulum, color and type of wood. Wilhelm Tribbensee – since 1916.
