Description

Metallica 1799

The origins of the Metallica 1799 from Erwin Sattler date back to the year 2000, when a 5/6 precision pendulum clock called “1799” was introduced with a unique case and corresponding appearance. 25 years later, the innovative design of that time has been reinterpreted. In a limited edition of just 15 pieces, all the technical features that are “state of the art” today are integrated. The clock manufacturer Erwin Sattler has thus succeeded in creating a completely new model.

Behind the modern dial with its openwork design and hand-finished bridge is a one-month precision movement with jewel and ball bearings and agate pallets. Of course, a temperature-compensated pendulum also features barometric compensation.
Wood combined with stainless steel gives the case a unique charm. This is further emphasized by the domed crystal glass. There is a crystals in the roof of the case that allows for external lighting.

When the case, which is equipped with a magnet closure, is opened, the entire front part of the case swings away from the back wall to reveal the case, which is also attached with magnets and contains all the necessary utensils. Fine curves instead of corners and edges blend perfectly and harmoniously into current living concepts.
A simple, modern yet at times playful precision pendulum clock whose mission is to display the time as precisely as possible.
