NT 6 “La Brillante”
Timepieces with great attention to detail
We have put all our clockmaking skills and our penchant for extraordinary creations into the NT 6 “La Brillante” table clock from Matthias Naeschke. This clock combines clear case lines, modern materials and a timeless and classically designed movement.
The gear wheel makes a truly brilliant appearance in this table clock movement. Oversized in diameter and mounted in the center of the skeletonized plates, it fills almost the entire movement. Clearly visible, together with the anchor and half-second pendulum, it does its job of dividing the spring-driven train of the movement into small portions.
As a movement never consists of just one wheel, all the other wheels of the gear train are mounted in a bridge between the main plates. The fourteen-day mechanism is finished by hand with great attention to detail and perfected with a galvanic coating of rhodium or yellow gold. The deep ruby red of the jewels sets a colorful accent and is also an indication of absolute durability.
Delicate pear-shaped hands, blued over the flame, glide over a fine, blackened chapter ring with Roman numerals. The NT 6 “La Brillante” table clock is mounted on two columns which, like the base, are made of black anodized aluminium. This timepiece is protected from dust – but not from prying eyes – by a solidly constructed glass lintel with five facetted glasses. The NT 6 “La Brillante” is a clock that is capable of inspiring and – as you would expect from our exclusive manufacture – brings new ideas to life in a classic guise.
RETROGRADE SECOND AS AN OPTIONAL FEATURE
A special addition to our table clocks collection is a retrograde second, which is available for the NT 6 “La Brillante” and NT 6 “La Gracieuse” table clock. Controlled by a cam disc, a special lever in the movement is raised. By means of a deflection mechanism, it drives an additional hands between the movement’s mounting pillars. This hand moves through an angle of 90° over the course of a minute before jumping back again and tackling the next 60 seconds.
