NL 125 (RH)
Classic values in a contemporary look
The 21-day grandfather clock NL 125 RH from Matthias Naeschke with free gravity escapement and center seconds is a clock that has never been seen before in this design, construction and quality.
Who doesn’t know the moment etched in our memory from childhood when our grandfather wound the grandfather clocks on Sundays with the crank in careful, quiet movements, like a ritual, with the family watching. In the age of electronic high-tech, it is childhood experiences like these that make us wish for a successful and original piece of mechanics. Something that doesn’t have to be thrown away just because the battery is broken or the necessary repair costs exceed the value of the device many times over.
For over 30 years, our clock manufacturer has been dealing with precisely these desires for lasting value and durability. Every year, only a few precious, unique pieces of the highest quality clockmaking leave our workshop. Manufactured with perfect craftsmanship and dedication, they can be serviced by trained specialists for generations to come.
Extra-long pendulum conveys comfort
The NL 125 RH grandfather clock with free gravity escapement is one such valuable item and one of the mainstays of our grandfather clocks collection. Its extra-long pendulum swings incredibly quietly at 1 ¼ second intervals and conveys a feeling of comfort. Even the centrally positioned second hand adapts to this and moves around the chapter ring much more slowly than usual, turning in four minutes.
In the rhodium-plated NL 125 RH movement version, this classic grandfather clock from Matthias Naeschke embodies a thoroughly modern timepiece, although individual elements of the black case are reminiscent of the French Empire style. Reduced to a contemporary size and in combination with the rhodium-plated movement, this exclusive mechanical clock fits very well in rooms characterized by modern design. Red hands add small touches of colour and harmonize wonderfully with the large, round ruby pallets of the free gravity escapement.
