Description

NL 126 (RH)

Grandfather clocks with a running time of one year

A clock from Matthias Naeschke is always a technical and aesthetic highlight. The NL 126 RH grandfather clock skillfully combines the majestic appearance of a 1 ¼ second pendulum – which is exceptionally long at 1.77 m – with the movement’s running time of no less than one year.

Our many years of experience in the construction of so-called “long runners” and our in-depth knowledge of the physical conditions have been incorporated into this development. The NL 126 RH grandfather clock generates the drive torque required to drive the pendulum from a weight of just five kilograms, which is distributed over two weights.

Skeletonized movement and technical highlights

The finely crafted movement is skeletonized in typical Naeschke fashion. The large gear wheel is positioned very centrally. The use of twelve modern precision ball bearings, four jewel bearings and ruby pallets on the anchor, in addition to extremely precise gearing, help to reduce the natural loss of power due to friction to an absolute minimum. A hand-engraved sterling silver chapter ring completes the manufacture movement.

The cherry wood case of this unique clock is clearly designed. The front is glazed without interruption, allowing a clear view of the interesting technology behind it. Elaborate mother-of-pearl and ebony inlays in the back of the case add small highlights and underline the exclusive nature of this clock. In the dark, an LED lighting unit integrated into the case head can be switched on, allowing the rhodium-plated movement to shine in all its glory.
